GROWING TIPS

These cold-loving seeds can survive a light frost and don't do well in heat. Sow outdoors in the early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. Ensure soil is fertile and well drained with full sun if possible. Sow seeds 1-2 inches apart and thin to the best starts when seedlings are 3-4 inches tall. To encourage quick growth-and tender, juicy shoots-fertilize regularly and water at the base to ensure soil remains moist; but not soaked. Harvest when plants have grown 10-15 inches tall and before the bright-green buds begin to bloom.

Enjoy an Early Harvest: Harvest Broccoli Raab's large outer leaves, and tender side shoots, as early as 40 days after sowing for a delicious early treat that also promotes further growth and improves overall crop production.

Help Your Plants Thrive with Weed Control: Weeds compete with vegetables, flowers and other plants for water, space and nutrients. Give your plants their best life by keeping weeds under control with Organic Weed Barrier Paper, mulch or careful weeding.

Companion Planting: Plant thyme next to cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower & brussels sprouts to deter cabbage worm
