GROWING TIPS
Bachelors Buttons perform best when broadcast directly in average, medium-dry, well-drained soil after the final spring frost. Tamp seeds lightly to ensure soil contact; and water new sprouts gently taking care not to over water. Once established Bachelors Buttons are drought resistant and require only minimal care. They will self-seed each year unless deadheaded after flowering. They prefer full sun; but may wilt if not given some shade during the hottest summer months.
Add a dash of color! Bachelors Buttons flowers are edible. When dried, they can add a vibrant dash of color to tea blends and baking.
Long lasting Bachelors Buttons were once worn in the lapels of courting gentlemen. Today they still look excellent in cut flower displays!
